Gig at the Sando

Friday, January 26th, 2007

The gig on Wednesday night at the Sando in Newtown was a lot of fun. Being only our second gig an all, it was still a bit nerve-wracking, but by about half-way through the set it was feeling pretty good.

The room is pretty small, and thanks to the early start, and a good turnout for us and The Famous (who played a great first gig - very tight, retro-80s inspired pop) the room felt pretty full. Thanks for everyone that came down.

Y’all were very attentive - which is a blessing and a curse in a sense. On the one hand it was very cool that it seemed everyone was digging the show and really listening. On the other hand, it ups the nerves level ‘coz up on stage you know that any mistakes are probably going to be spotted by someone out there…

Anyways - Charlie Brewer (who I don’t know personally, but might be a friend of one of the other guys) has posted some pics over at Flickr. (Don’t forget to tag any photos with “fuzu” so we can check ‘em out).

Thanks again for all of you that came down - it made the night a big success for us. We’re really pumped to get out there more now - hopefully we’ll have some more gigs lined up shortly.

Gasworks gig

Friday, December 29th, 2006

We had a great show last night, supporting The Devoted Few (thanks guys!) at Gasworks in Parramatta.

It was loads of fun, despite the first gig nerves (and extra glitchy-ness at times). I just worked out it’s been over two years since Tobes and I played a gig together. The last show was an acoustic with Glance at the Hopetoun hotel, if memory serves. That gig was also the first one that saw me take a laptop onstage - a sign of things to come? (Amy Walters took some cool photos of that gig too.)

Anyways, we’re all really pumped and looking forward to doing it again soon.

Just a quick note, until we get this into the sidebar here, that if you would like to be kept up-to-date on gigs etc., we’ve started a Yahoo! Group.

And of course we have a Myspace profile as well, which includes some demo tracks.
