On Saturday we picked up our freshly minted CDs from Troy Horse. The artwork turned out great - it’s a digipak made of 85% recycled material, with the remainder sourced from sustainably managed forests - so it’s reasonably environmentally friendly to boot.
You can also now buy the EP on iTunes.
We’ll hopefully be getting the CDs available for sale online shortly as well. We’ll keep you posted as things progress…
Of course we’ll also have them at the launch on the 25 June as well - so if you’re coming down to the show you can pick one up then.
Speaking of which, we’ve confirmed that Underlapper and Karoshi will be supporting us on the night - two great acts, so even more reason to come down and help us celebrate

We’re now booked in to launch Between your lines on 25 June at the Hopetoun Hotel! We’re very excited about the launch, not least of which because it’s our first headline show at the Hoey.
If you’re on Facebook, you can RSVP for the event there. Or you can just turn up and join in the fun
We’ll have copies of the EP (which has just gone to pressing) and some of our new t-shirts for sale, plus probably a couple to giveaway as well.

Thanks to the wonders of the interweb (and Sean’s quick thinking), you can now grab a Between your lines t-shirt over at RedBubble.
They’re going for AUD$24.95, are printed on American Apparel tees, and are available in a range of colours (just click on the colour chart below the image to preview).

Well, after much too-ing and fro-ing we have artwork!
The result is a collaboration between Toby (who took the photo that the artwork is based on) and myself - we hope you like the result
So we’re just a few weeks away from having finished EPs in our hot little hands. Yay! Hopefully we’ll also have a date lined up shortly as well to celebrate the launch and getting back to performing.

We’ve just got the final details for our show on Friday night - we’re playing with Broke Down Engines - a band we’ve heard good things about, so it should be a great night.
The show is our last for the year - something of a Fuzu Christmas party. Bandwagon kicks off at around 10pm - we’re on shortly after - so if you’ve got another Christmas party on it’s perfect timing for you to come down later in the evening to keep the party going! (Easy to get to by public transport too if that helps…)
We’re on at 10.30pm - so hopefully we’ll see you there - but if not, best of the season and we’ll see you in the new year

This week we confirmed two gigs coming up.
The first is in support of Centipede - they’re launching their new single at the Hopetoun on Thursday 22 Nov. (You can check out a snippet of the single here). We’re stoked to be playing the Hoey again - especially on a Thursday night - so we hope y’all can come and join us and make it a big night for Centipede.
The other show is Friday 7 Dec at Bandwagon, a cool new venue that recently opened up to live bands on Fridays in Leichardt. We’ve heard really good things about the venue which was recently renovated - so we’re looking forward to playing there.
It’s right on Parramatta Road, so easy to get to on public transport (a lot of buses go that way). (Bandwagon is held at the Bald Faced Stag hotel.
If all goes to plan (i.e. we get the artwork and printing sorted for it) we’ll be launching the EP on the 7th. So make sure you lock the date in your diary - it will be a big party for us and we’d love to share that with you!

We completed the mastering on Saturday with Don Bartley at Benchmark Mastering.
We’d heard good things about Don (Genevieve, among others, had recommended him) and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Even though we weren’t 100% prepared, Don was able to create an awesome result.
We ended up finishing slightly ahead of schedule too, and we’re really stoked with the results. As with any recording, there were a few things in the mix that we weren’t happy with after listening to it for a while (one of the hazards of keeping to a budget!), and most of those were resolved through the mastering process. Genevieve’s mixes really shine as a result.
Anyways - we’re really happy to have the process finished - now onto artwork and a launch gig
Update: We’ve got some tracks up on our MySpace.

Just a quick note to say that we’ve booked mastering for 18 August with “the Don” (Don Bartley) at Benchmark Mastering.
We’re excited to hear the finished product! Once that’s done we’ll post a sample track here for y’all to check out. We’re also progressing on the artwork, so hopefully we’ll have a finished, pressed and packed product shortly. Then, once Toby’s back in the country, we’ll get started on organising a launch gig - at this stage, probably late Sept-early October.

Just a quick note to say Dom and I will be playing an acoustic show at Mars Hill Cafe in Parramatta on 4 Aug. The set will be a mix of re-interpreted Fuzu songs and a couple of solo tracks from my pre-Fuzu acoustic gigs.
We’ll be joined by our friend Kris - something I’m definitely looking forward to
Entry is free, and you will find the cafe at 331 Church Street, Parramatta.
